The Fact About Fiction

Remember when you wanted to be a Solid Gold dancer? What? I can't be the only one? I believe Dance Fever fueled my love for the color gold. I think secretly my feet were more disappointed that the show was cancelled than I was. So imagine my feet's surprise when they hear that Chanel, the pioneers of producing the most sought after nail lacquer around, has a LIMITED EDITION(yes I am yelling...my two favorite words) polish named Gold Fiction. It is not a pale gold or a dusty gold. Not 10 kt,14kt or but gold gold...18kt. The goldminers of 49 would feen at first glance. The application is so smooth but what else do you expect from Chanel? As I am painting, I can feel each of my toes eagerly awaiting its turn to be dressed up in metallic love. Is possible that this precious liquid element is flying under the rador? I walked right into Nordies and snatched one right up. At $30 a pop, mind you. But it was so worth it. Forget having a pocket full of sunshine(sorry, Natasha). I have it in a 0.08 oz bottle.

Smooth Criminal

We have all heard the term"Killer Heels". I admit it could have a positive or negative spin. I personally prefer the former. I love em...low end...high end. Doesn't matter. Come to think of it, what red-blooded diva doesn't? It is encoded in our DNA. But there is,my friends, a very fragile line between love and hate. No matter how deep my love runnings for elevated footwear, I am realizing that regardless of which cost end I pluck from..well...heels are gonna hurt. Or so I thought. I believe Tamara Mellon(Founder and President of Jimmy Choo) has me eating humble pie and I hate pie. I bought my first pair of Jimmy Choos(style: Smooth in a metallic silver) . They are a classic staple in any glamozon's wardrobe. I love em. Can't stop wearing em. They fit like a glove. Like most couture works of art, the craftmanship is exquisite. Much to my delight, they feel like an eighteen hour bra but for feet. Now don't misunderstand, heels are heels, ladies...so eventually all of them will turn on your pedals in the end. Remember we all want the same thing: pretty shoes but don't want to end up with dead "Dawgs" walking!

Just a Touch

When I miss out on a hot beauty product...let's just say...I am not a Camp Rock alum. Picture it: Bloomies 2006/07, YSL releases the best on the go nail product ever: Nail Touch. I wrestled internally. Should I get it? Do I really need it? Other cosmetic companies had similar products, so why spend the extra for YSL? Before I could finally make up my mind to take the plunge...it was 'N Sync...GONE! I was informed that it was L.E. But there were rumors of a revival coming soon. So I waited on the regret sideline. Boy was it lonely but worth the wait. Besides the following facts:

  1. One-handed operation(yes...I can carry baby on my hip and paint my nails at the same time).

  2. An array of 4 color choices: 1 Crystal, 2 Beige, 3Pink(my choice), 4Pearly.

  3. The packaging is darling in a metallic gold(biased I am).

  4. It delivers loooooong lasting wear.

It dries ultra fast. I have things to do. Waiting for nails to dry when I know I have a diaper to change is not one of them. Which makes the Touch the bestest. Chicettes unite. Raise your golden nail varnish wheeling wand high in the air or tuck it in your back pocket and head out the door.
